Now, the Simtable is a 3D interactive fire simulator, bringing sandtable exercises to life in your own high risk areas.
Fire progressions are rough approximations with manual movement.
Fire is an advanced computer simulation utilizing actual slope, terrain, wind speed/direction, fuels, etc.
Long setup time with crude representations of geography.
Instant change to real time maps and topography.
Large personnel requirements, scheduling difficulties, and sporadic occurrences.
Individuals and small groups train on and learn about fires and techniques by running simulation of local neighborhood fires.
         
 
Recent News
June 15, 2009: Simtable utilized by Santa Fe County Fire Department for FireWise outreach. The Simtable was the centerpiece of the FireWise presentation to the citizens of Apache Canyon. “The Simtable is the future of public outreach for FireWise programs” Said Steve Mullis, Wildland Coordinator.

July 18, 2009: Simtable technology brings crowds to opening of fire station museum.
The Simtable was demonstrated to hundreds of interested people at the opening of the Santa Fe Fire museum today. Interest came from the public and firefighters alike. “We plan to have the Simtable installed by end of the year”, Said Jason Arwood.

July 31, 2009: Simtable installed in the City Capital building of Venice Italy.
Stephen Guerin and Fabio Carrera's installed the first Simtable in Europe today. Demonstrating to a crowd of dignitaries at the capital building the Simtable is modeling potential changes in Gondola traffic to study the impact of making changes to traffic patters. “The presentation went excellent and the government officials were delighted with the work we delivered today”, said Fabio Carrera.

August 4, 2009: Simtable delivery set for Estancia Conservancy district:
The largest Simtable to date, almost 4X6 Feet will be delivered to the Estancia Conservancy district this month. It will be the center-piece of their new public outreach and education center.
